So far this year, the country has reported 202 days with zero homicides, from January 1 to October 29, 2023, according to official figures published by the PNC on its X account (formerly Twitter).
Statistics show that January closed with 22 days with zero homicides, February with 21, March 20, April 24 and 21 days in March, followed by June with 21, and 23 and 20 days with zero murders in July and August respectively, while September reached 20.
Official statistics noted that so far during the Nayib Bukele administration, 474 days with zero homicides have been accumulated, especially after the implementation of the Territorial Control Plan and the emergency regime that suspends some constitutional guarantees.
