Venezuela sends humanitarian aid to Mexico after hurricane

Caracas, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela on Monday sent to Mexico a shipment of over 26 tons of humanitarian aid to defuse damages caused by hurricane Otis, which hit the nation on October 25, reporting a death toll of over 40 victims.

Footage broadcasted by Venezolana de Television showed the time when airport workers were loading the cargo onto the Conviasa aircraft.

Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister for Latin America Rander Peña stated to the press that the aid consists of food, rescue and salvage equipment.

On his X account, the diplomat posted that the donation sent by the Maduro’s Government will arrive in Mexico in coming few hours.

“Let the Mexican people know that they can count on the active and timely solidarity of the Venezuelan people and that we accompany them in this very hard and regrettable moment. Force Mexico!” he posted.

At the Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, the Mexican Ambassador in Caracas Leopoldo de Gyves, thanked the humanitarian gesture of the Bolivarian authorities and people.
