Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil stated so in an interview with Prensa Latina at attaching significance to ties benefitting all sides, having no schemes of dominance set by the biggest power nations worldwide.
“It´s not the same to establish a relation under the dominance scheme being set by Europe and the U.S., a dominance relation, a relation based on exploitation, from a big to a small country, where natural resources and knowledge from small countries are being robbed by the rich ones to collect their wealths,” the FM noted.
Gil pursued, “in the case of Africa and Latin America, we are referring to a relation based on equity, it’s much simpler, it’s much cleaner, it’s much more humane this sort of relation.”
The authority deemed that in that case nations complement each other because they share the same needs and abilities, as well as a similar history; not only because Africans were in Latin America after colonialism, but also their fight for their independence have been alike.
