According to official sources, Shoigu will present a report on “Responsibility of large states and cooperation in the field of global security.”
The event will last until next Wednesday and will bring together representatives from 90 countries and international organizations.
The objective of the meeting is “to maintain talks, express points of view and resolve differences” in matters of security, the organizers announced.
As stated by the local press, 22 Defense Ministers and 14 military chiefs are participating in the Forum and will discuss issues related to defense.
The Xiangshan Forum was established in 2006 and is organized by the Chinese Association of Military Sciences and the Chinese Institute of International Strategic Studies.
The event has become an important platform for high-level security and defense dialogue in Asia and the Pacific.
