Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani called on the world’s governments to pursue the Zionist criminals through international legal channels in the face of these ongoing massacres.
As a sign of their warmongering spirit, the Israeli military forces have waged more than 20 wars in this region in the last few years and “have occupied parts of Palestine and Lebanon,” among other territories, Kanaani said.
Iran recently proposed at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) the formation of a specialized committee of jurists to provide evidence for the crimes committed by the Israeli troops in Gaza and present them to several courts to judge the guilty parties.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, an estimated 8,300 Palestinian children have been killed in the occupied territories since the Israeli aggression broke out on October 7, while 23,000 others have been wounded.
It is worth mentioning that of those dead, almost 3,230 Palestinian children were killed by Israeli bombs in the first three weeks of the current wave of violence, NGO Save the Children denounced.
The humanitarian organization also noted that such a number exceeds the annual figure of children and adolescents killed in conflict areas globally since 2019.
