The ministerial panels of the meeting will deal with the progress and challenges of national urban policies in Latin America and the Caribbean and the implementation of Cuba’s new urban agenda at the local level.
Other topics will be the comprehensive improvement of neighborhoods and urban regeneration, and planning in the capture of land value.
Likewise, the role of decentralization and local governments in territorial urban development and the role of women in habitat development.
The event will also celebrate World Cities Day, which this year’s theme is ‘Financing a sustainable urban future for all’.
