A tourism bridge between Bolivia and Cuba

La Paz, 30 oct (Prensa Latina) The general manager of Boliviana de Aviación (BoA), Ronald Casso, assured in an interview with Prensa Latina that the route of that company, which links every Thursday the department of Santa Cruz and Havana, constitutes a bridge for tourism.

“Cuba and Havana are not an unknown destination for us; since 2014 we made unscheduled operations to support health missions, I think that’s where the story begins,” the engineer told this news agency at the international airport of Viru Viru, in Santa Cruz.

Casso indicated that at the root of this project there is a history of solidarity, brotherhood, common interests and objectives.

“Therefore, getting to materialize this regular operation marks a difference with what has been done so far to open up to different audiences, other destinations,” the manager commented, “but the spirit of facing common challenges remains, even if the mechanism changes.

According to Casso, while awaiting the second regular flight of this itinerary, BoA hopes that the mechanism will prosper and bring benefits for all parties, and that the principles from which it started will never be lost.

“In commercial terms, we hope that the route will be strengthened not only with the connection from Bolivia, but also from other countries,” he said.

BoA’s highest authority explained that this route already has a network of flights in South America with the capacity to feed this itinerary and also in the opposite direction to connect Havana with other neighboring countries.
