The debates have attracted the attention of tour operators and travel agents, especially in Cuba’s tourist-sending markets like Canada and Europe.
The topic comes up because Cuba is currently organizing the 6th International Convention on Tourism Studies (CietCuba 2023), which will discuss the most relevant preferences of the global travel industry.
The motto of the meeting will be “For an Intelligent Tourism,” in reference to the analysis of new information technologies and their use in the sector.
The event will take place from October 25 to 28 in the Zapata Swamp (south-west, Matanzas), Cuba’s largest wetland and a major tourist destination, highly demanded by travelers from all over the world.
As part of the meeting, the 2nd Inclusive Tourism Workshop will be held.
The president of the Organizing Committee, Dr.C Alejandro Delgado, and the president of the Scientific Committee, Dr.C Lisandra Torres, explained the resonance of the debates, which are vital for Cuba’s recreational sector.
This is a meeting of students, professionals and academics with the purpose of sharing knowledge and experiences in tourism management, as well as incorporating the best international practices on these issues.
The 2nd Workshop on Innovation in Tourism will focus on emerging models of innovation, the development of innovative environments in tourism, and the role of stakeholders in the development of innovations in tourism.
In addition, there will be conferences, panels and free topics for discussion. Other topics to be discussed at the event are the Students’ role in tourism development and Destination Marketing.
