Russia denounces sale of Western weapons in Ukrainian black market

Moscow, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) Weapons and explosives are sold in Ukraine's informal market, in particular C-4 charges previously supplied to Kiev by Western countries as part of the military aid, the RIA Novosti agency reported.

The article recalls that militant groups in the Gaza Strip were found to be in possession of Western weapons originating from supplies made to Ukraine.

The director of the Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade, Igor Korotchenko, stated in July that an estimated 10 to 15 percent of weapons systems supplied to Ukraine are then re-exported to the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa through illegal schemes.

RIA Novosti showed an advertisement that reads “C-4 from 800 US dollars per kilogram, in Kiev,” and includes a photograph of the product showing explosive charges with markings in English.

Another example shows an advertisement that reads: “We sell firearms throughout Ukraine. Delivery by anonymous courier to your city! Receive the package in a convenient place for you.”

The text of the advertisement is also in English, and the description on how to place an order and details on the delivery to the buyer are below.
