Prensa Latina condemns assassinations of journalists in Gaza

Havana, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) Journalists from the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina on Thursday condemned the Israeli forces' bombings on the Palestinian people and lamented the violent deaths of several journalists in the Gaza Strip.

During an event at Prensa Latina’s headquarters in Havana, they called to stop Israel’s attacks on the territory, which have killed more than 6,000 people and wounded about 17,000 since October 7.

On behalf of the journalists, Moisés Saab pointed out that the lack of scruples and savagery of the Israeli Army’s bombings on the coastal enclave are not new, they have occurred frequently for several years.

He noted that the only difference now is that “they have reached a paroxysm because it is about is uprooting the Palestinians and occupying that strip of land.”

He added, on the other hand, that “today we are in the presence of the apotheosis of that policy of ethnic cleansing and extermination of an entire human community, the Palestinians, at the hands of Israel, a State ruled by racial and confessional supremacist concepts.”

This event took place when, according to official sources, Cuba will demand the immediate end to the Israel’s massacre of that Arab people.

The number of Palestinian journalists killed in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli bombings stands at 24.

The official Wafa news agency reported that Israeli warplanes fired several missiles in the last few hours at the house of the communicator Doaa Sharaf and her son, which is located in the Al Zawaida area, in the center of that territory.

On Wednesday, Jamal al-Faqawi was killed after his home was hit by bombs in the city of Khan Yunis.

Previously, Saeed Al-Halabi died in Israeli raids during an airstrike on her residence, located in the Jabalia refugee camp, and Salma Makhimer and her son were killed in a similar incident in the town of Rafah.
