The demonstration, which took place at Kozhikode beach, was presided over by IUML national general secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty, state Muslim state president Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal and MP Shashi Tharoor as chief guest, local newspaper Mathrubhumi noted.
Before the impressive crowd, Thangal asserted that Israel represents global terrorism and anyone who supports it is complicit in its atrocities.
He stressed the resilience of the Palestinian people who will continue an enduring struggle until they achieve their freedom, he said.
On his part, IUML state leader Salam assured that the majority of the people of India unwaveringly support Palestine.
Similarly, Kunhalikutty expressed his hope that one day the heartfelt prayers of the oppressed Palestinians will be answered.
Separately, it was learned that in Kerala, a company terminated a long-standing contract to manufacture uniforms for the Israeli police as a moral decision in light of Israel’s increasing siege against the occupied territories.
Since the Israeli bombardment of civilians began 20 days ago, 6,955 Palestinians have been killed and more than 19,000 wounded, mostly in the Gaza Strip.
