Cuban Government is willing to assist Mexico after Hurricane Otis

Havana, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel offered Cuba's support on Thursday to cooperate in the recovery efforts in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero, which was hit by Hurricane Otis.

On his X account, the Cuban president expressed to his Mexican counterpart, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, and Foreign Minister Alicia Barcenas Cuba’s solidarity and willingness to assist Mexico, with the added bonus of Cuba’s experience in dealing with these natural phenomena.

On the same social network, the president of the National People’s Power Assembly (Cuban Parliament), Esteban Lazo, wrote, “All our solidarity to the brother people of Mexico, to legislators and parliamentary authorities, in view of the damages caused by Hurricane Otis.”

Lazo offered the support for the Mexicans from the Cuban people, State and Government at all times, especially in the cace of adversities.

On the Mexican side, Barcenas was moved and grateful for the words of encouragement from the brothers and sisters of the Cuban people in light of the current natural, expressed on their behalf by the Cuba head of State and other authorities.
