Ukrainian attempt to cross the Dnieper River fails

Vladimir-Saldo
Moscow, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) The attempts by Ukrainian troops to cross the Dnieper river failed; the enemy has no chance of achieving tactical successes, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, assured on social media.

The official added that the actions of the Ukrainian army are doomed to failure due to the preparation that the Russian forces have carried out to defend the eastern bank of the river.

Saldo recalled that according to some media outlets, the Ukrainian forces have accumulated a large number of troops, matériel and crossing means on the western bank with the alleged goal of crossing the Dnieper.

The governor added that he would advise not to pass off their speculations as facts, since they have known the enemy’s plans even before last August, when they first attempted to cross the Dnieper.

According to Saldo, the last landing on October 19th was a resounding failure, as the Russian units of the Southern grouping engaged the assault groups that were trying to establish a beachhead on the eastern shore.

At the moment, Saldo said, small individual groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are hiding on the eastern bank of the Dnieper near the village of Krynki and in dachas near the Antonovsky bridge, but Russian troops are working on expelling them.

“There are no Kiev troops in other settlements on the left bank. There are no opportunities for them to develop tactical success. All roads are under our fire control, our soldiers directly control the roads,” he emphasized.

Earlier, Russian forces prevented the landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the vicinity of the railway bridge in the Kherson region.
