According to the TRT television channel, the bill states that on the basis of the relations between Türkiye and Sweden “and the level achieved by the nation in showing its interoperability with NATO”, membership is endorsed.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed the protocol and sent it to the Chamber for ratification, however, even if the Turkish parliament votes in favor of the accession, Hungary’s approval is still pending.
