A statement from the Spanish hotel chain Meliá (Cuba branch) added that the establishments are focused on offering the most satisfactory experience to the client (the classification was granted on the basis of official Cuban standards).
They mentioned that both are specialized in Japanese and Italian cuisines, respectively, and are located near the hotel lobby and integrated to the novel concept of the Plaza Costa Habana.
The process was carried out by experts who based their criteria on the NC 126: 2001 standard, titled Tourism Industry, which establishes requirements for the classification by categories of restaurants that provide services to tourists.
This regulation establishes that, in order to obtain the five-fork seal, the restaurant needs to stand out for the highest possible conditions of luxury and comfort. Its facilities will be of high quality and modern restaurant techniques will be present, Meliá emphasizes.
