According to an announcement released by the Duma on Tuesday, after discussing the day’s agenda, the deputies will examine the draft appeal to the UN General Assembly on the end of the blockade of Cuba.
The State Duma calls on the participants in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, and all parliaments, for the immediate and complete stop to the United States blockade against Cuba.
The deputies also expressed their strong protest against the flagrant violation of the fundamental principles of international law by the United States, which is manifested in systematic attempts to intimidate Cuba and deprive its people of necessary material resources.
The economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States has created a difficult economic and humanitarian situation in Cuba, aggravated by the consequences of various natural disasters, the parliamentarians stated.
