The state news agency KCNA reported on Tuesday that the Palestinian leader extended his greetings to all WPK members, the Government and the people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), to whom he wished new achievements in the construction of socialism and the defense of their homeland.
Abbas wished the DPRK chairman of State Affairs and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK good health and a continued wise leadership of the country to progress and prosperity.
The Palestinian leader also expressed gratitude for the DPRK’s support for the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence.
KCNA also released a statement in which the North Korean Foreign Ministry condemned the United States’ veto of a draft resolution on humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, at the United Nations Security Council.
