16 hospitals were witness of around 3,000 hospitalizations, not counting those treated in the emergency area for fever, muscle aches and headaches.

The Public Health Ministry detailed that the Hugo Mendoza Children´s Hospital admitted as many as 632 patients, most of them with alarming symptoms, while the Robert Reid Cabral Hospital admitted 368.
