According to the military institution, up to 3,000 personnel of different kinds of troops of both countries, 130 armored vehicles, 100 artillery guns, more than 20 aircraft, and engineering equipment are attending the military exercises.
According to the Defense Ministry, the maneuvers are conducted in several directions, including Baku, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Nagorno-Karabakh territories.
During the drills using modern combat methods, several tasks are carried out on the use of artillery, aviation, and other kinds of troops in combat operations, the organization of their interaction, the erection of pontoon bridges over rivers, and the landing of paratroopers.
The exercises focus on ensuring combat coherence in the interaction of troops, improving command, exchanging experience, and enhancing personnel professionalism.
The military drills will last until October 25.
