Kicillof celebrates reelection as governor of Argentine province

Buenos Aires, Oct 22 (Prensa Latina) The Argentine province of Buenos Aires continues to believe in a present State, solidarity and the homeland, Axel Kicillof said today when celebrating his re-election as governor of that territory.

The representative of Unión por la Patria (UP) obtained more than 44 points according to the data released with 84.91 percent of the tables scrutinized, while Néstor Grindetti, from Together for Change, reached only 26.6 and Carolina Píparo , from La Libertad Avanza, 24.6.

Dignity is not a business, rights do not depend on profit and freedom is only achieved when there is equal opportunity, Kicillof stated after learning the results.

Life is not a market and the country is not for sale, he added.

Likewise, he said he was very excited and recalled that in 2019 he received a province that was scorched earth.

There were difficult years and unexpected difficulties, but we overcame them. He excites the support, strength, accompaniment and joy of the people of Buenos Aires. This year we celebrate four decades of democracy, which is based on the deep memory of a genocidal night. This vote means: Dictatorship, Never Again!, he stated.

I thank the militants of this province who are the true protagonists of the UP campaign, of Peronism. Neither resignation nor anti-politics defeated us, he added.

Kicillof recognized the permanent support of Vice President Cristina Fernández, “who, despite an attack and the ban, never called for resentment or revenge and should be an example for those who use hatred and violence.”

Furthermore, he indicated that no territory is saved alone, which is why he considered it necessary to work to achieve the victory of Sergio Massa in the November 19 runoff.

The campaign ends when he is the next president of Argentina. Nobody stops, we need a national government committed to the people and that fulfills what the polls ask for and not what the International Monetary Fund demands, he pointed out.

Likewise, he reiterated his commitment to the workers and all those who deeply believe in democracy, memory, truth, justice and sovereignty.
