The King said so at the Cairo Peace Summit, at which he referred to that aggression as a collective punishment of a besieged and defenseless people, in a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

In that regard, King Abdullah II pointed out that anywhere else, attacking civilian infrastructure and deliberately depriving an entire population of food, water, electricity and basic needs would be condemned.

He warned aftermaths of continued international apathy and inaction will be catastrophic “for all of us.”

The King repeated his call for an immediate end of the war in Gaza, the protection of civilians and the adoption of a unified position condemning the attacks.

The King of Jordan stressed the need for the sustained and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, fuel, food and medicines to the Gaza Strip.

Abdullah II reaffirmed the unequivocal rejection of forced or internal displacement of Palestinians, calling it a war crime under international law and a red line for all.
