The exhibition entitled, “Asi la vieron mis ojos,” (My eyes saw her like this), is made up of photographs by writer Pedro Simon, life partner of the Prima Ballerina Assoluta. Those pictures are now on display at the “Galeria de los Oficios” in Old Havana, as part of an event framed in the celebrations for the Cuban Culture Day.
Alicia Alonso appears in locations of artistic and historic interest in countries as Spain, Italy, Russia, the United Kingdom and others, including a Cuban sample taken in the primate village of Baracoa, on the eastern end of Cuba.
According to journalist Yuris Norido at the premiere, the exhibition reveals to the viewer a much closer human being and citizen Alicia.
