Around 20 prestigious speakers, both national and foreign, will meet at the Cultural Center Plaza de 31 y 2, in this capital city, to discuss the challenges and perspectives of this specialty in the current context.
During the opening of the event, on October 17, the director of the EGREM highlighted to Prensa Latina the link between this gathering and the University of Arts (ISA), the British Council, and the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños. He also emphasized as a significance element, the empowerment of women in this field.
The contest represents a lot, above all because of the link with the artists and with the codes that currently exist in the world: how do we record, what do we produce, to what segment of the population do we produce for, what is the taste of the people when it comes to producing,” he said. In his opinion, Profesionales del Sonido is here to stay, and it is also the prelude to the 60th anniversary of the EGREM record company, created on October 31, 1964.
