Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II reaffirmed here their opposition to “Israeli policies of collective punishment represented in the blockade, starvation and forced displacement of brothers in Gaza”.
The two heads of State criticized in a joint statement any attempt to forcibly displace the Palestinian people to Jordan or Egypt.
They also called for the immediate cessation of the aggression against Gaza, where more than 3,400 deaths have been reported.
The Presidency said in a press release that both held a meeting in this capital to analyze the regional situation as a result of the new cycle of violence.
Both reiterated their condemnation of the bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, located in Gaza City, and of all acts directed against civilians.
They also demanded the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip through the Rafah crossing.
