According to diplomatic sources here, the meeting reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and upcoming joint actions.
They highlighted the two countries’ commitment to strengthening their relations and moving forward in areas of mutual interest.
Cabrisas recently started a working visit to China during which he will co-chair the 30th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Commercial and Financial Relations.
According to a press release from the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the Commission will strengthen bilateral ties, and review and plan the main issues of mutual interest, including those related to the scientific-technical area and bilateral cooperation.
As part of his agenda, Cabrisas visited the facilities of the Biotech Pharmaceutical Limited (PBL) joint venture, which has made major progress in biotechnological cooperation.
Cabrisas, who is also the minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, visited the headquarters of the JD e-commerce platform, especially the Cuban Excellences Pavilion.
Diplomatic sources in China said that Cabrisas had a productive meeting with the company’s high-level advisor, Li Ge.
He also met with Cubans who work at the Embassy in Beijing and in representative offices here.
