The event is a three-day face-to-face regional forum that will bring together stakeholders from across the Caribbean Community (Caricom) region to discuss opportunities and ways to innovatively manage a transition to energy sustainability in the transportation sector, the Jamaica Gleaner newspaper noted.
According to the news source, special attention will be given to mobility options and opportunities, which will be highlighted during a public exhibition of electric vehicles called EV-Lution.
The meeting will take place during the celebration of Caricom Energy Month 2023, which aims to showcase and celebrate the achievements in this area in the region.
As part of the planned activities, the Caribbean Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (Ccreee) is organizing several events in collaboration with other organizations under the theme “Accelerating Innovation – Driving Electrification,” the newspaper added.
