Almost 200 activities are included in this festivity inscribed in the context of the Day for the Cuban Culture, among them, the route of the José Martí’s, National Hero of Cuba, the commemoration of the 155th anniversary of the beginning of the struggles for independence, the 170th anniversary of Martí’s birth and the commemoration of the first interpretation of the Anthem of Bayamo..

Tribute will also be paid to the Concert Band of the city of Bayamo (which this year celebrated its 155th anniversary), and there will be spaces for the recognition of artists and cultural entities who celebrate closed anniversaries. This traditional day includes audiovisual premieres, musical presentations of small and large formats, theatrical and dance performances, theoretical and literary events, as well as exhibitions of plastic arts, photography and handicrafts.
