Renewed exchange of fire on Lebanon’s southern border

Beirut, Oct 16 (Prensa Latina) Lebanon's southern border experienced today a renewed exchange of fire after operations by fighters of the Hizbulah movement and Israeli shelling of bordering areas.

The Lebanese Resistance confirmed the attack on Israeli sites Maskaf ‘Am, Khirbet Al-Manarah, Hormon, Risha and Ramyah, using appropriate and direct weapons.

This action caused casualties in the ranks of the Israeli uniformed forces.

In this context, the local channel Al Manar correspondent Ali Shoeib, reported the aggression of the Tel Aviv forces against a Lebanese Army facility.

At the same time, he commented on the Israeli bombardment of areas near the town of Dhahira in the south of the country and the settlements in front of it.

In these actions, Israel used white phosphorus shells, internationally prohibited under the 1980 Geneva Convention.

For its part, the pan-Arab network Al Mayadeen reported the continuous flight of Israeli reconnaissance planes in national airspace.

Tel Aviv authorities asked settlers on the Lebanese border to immediately enter shelters.

At dawn, Hizbulah released scenes of attacks on an Israeli armored vehicle at Hanita site on the border with guided missiles and precise and direct hits.

The southern border witnessed yesterday the heaviest fire since the start of the Palestinian resistance operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, following the launching of anti-tank missiles from homeland towards Israeli military facilities.
