It is the continuity of one of the agreements contained in the Action Plan of the 16th State Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, held in Valencia in October 2022.
Funds raised during the “Tons of powdered milk for Cuba. Tons of solidarity against the blockade” campaign, made it possible to send the shipment.
On this occasion, it counted on the fundamental collaboration of solidarity organizations, trade unions and parties from Asturias and supported by the groups that make up the MESC (State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba).
According to Cubainformación, this shipment consists of materials that correspond to the second phase of the cooperation project promoted by the organizations MediCuba España and the Lázaro Cárdenas Association of Asturias, to support agricultural training at the Vladimir Ilich Lenin Polytechnic School in Santiago de Cuba, which will be provided, with this action, with a greenhouse, a tractor and tools.
In addition, school and medical materials donated by participants in the Cuban Corner of the Festival of the Communist Party of Spain, held in the town of Rivas-Vaciamadrid during the last weekend of September, were added to the container.
