A model of society is at stake, Argentineans warn

Buenos Aires, Oct 16 (Prensa Latina) The vice-presidential candidate for the Argentinean alliance Unión por la Patria (UP), Agustín Rossi, assured today that in next Sunday's general elections a model of values and society will be at stake.

In declarations to Radio 10, the current head of the Cabinet of Ministers affirmed that voters will not only define an economic or state program, but will have to bet on a democratic system or another one marked by individualism and the “every man for himself” slogan.

Likewise, he indicated that, unlike the primaries, where he noticed indifference and a cold climate, at this moment there is a debate installed at all levels of society and much more militant fervor.

That is the way to beat the ultra-right. I have great expectations, he pointed out.

On the other hand, he recalled that his running mate, Sergio Massa, promised to be the president of the workers and highlighted the measures recently taken by the also Minister of Economy to favor the salaried workers, such as the elimination of the income tax.

Rossi highlighted the importance of an act called for tomorrow for the Peronist Loyalty Day, which will take place at the Arsenal de Sarandí stadium and will be headed by Massa and the candidate for reelection as governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof.
