Students, tourists and residents of that Middle Eastern nation arrived on Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1091 from Rome, Italy, where they were transferred on Thursday in a Hercules C-130.

Through his profile on the social network X, President Alberto Fernández thanked those who made this first stage of the Safe Return operation possible and confirmed that actions will continue to evacuate the rest of the people who requested it.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Santiago Cafiero affirmed that “it is a great peace of mind that they are at home and spend this special Sunday with their families”, when Mother’s Day is celebrated.

Previously, Cafiero informed that more than 1,300 people requested to return to this nation and this process is being carried out with the cooperation of the Ministry of Defense and Aerolineas, which covers the route between Rome and Buenos Aires.

On the other hand, he reiterated that his government advocates the permanent search for dialogue because it is the only way towards peace.
