Israeli lawmaker condemns Netanyahu’s actions towards Gaza

Tel Aviv, Oct 14 (Prensa Latina) Israeli lawmaker Ofer Cassid on Saturday claimed the decision of Benjamin Netanyahu's government to deport 1.1 million Palestinians from the northern Gaza Strip and attack them is a war crime and against humanity.

“Deporting civilians from their homes (ethnic cleansing) is a war crime, shooting at civilians fleeing for their lives from terror of ‘purifying’ bombs is a crime against humanity,” Cassid stated on X.

Enough! Stop the fire! There is no military way, only a political way!” Cassid added, referring to the pressing need to restart talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

The MP also rejected the attacks on the civilian population by pointing out that they have no justification.

“Anyone who enters a civilian population, shoots innocent people, burns families and incites mass killings is a human scum, an enemy of humanity, and it does not matter what his national or religious identity is,” he said.

More than 1,950 Palestinians have been killed and 6,500 wounded in the coastal enclave since Israeli bombing began eight days ago in response to an attack by the Hamas militia on the neighboring country, which killed 1,300 people.

The Israeli army on Friday ordered the Gaza inhabitants to abandon their homes ahead of an imminent ground offensive, a decision unanimously condemned by the international community.
