A military force, including a P-8 aircraft, surveillance equipment, two warships, three Merlin helicopters and a company of Royal Marines, will be on standby to provide practical support, the British Prime Minister’s office website said in a statement.
It is noted that maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft will begin operating in the region to monitor threats to regional stability and arms transfers.
In turn, the naval task force will arrive in Eastern Mediterranean next week as an emergency measure to support humanitarian efforts, the office said.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister called for strengthening military forces throughout the region to support emergency planning and the efforts of neighboring countries in the event of any instability consequences in Israel.
