The Iranian foreign minister denounced the crimes and siege of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians in Gaza after his meeting with his Lebanese counterpart, Abdallah Bou Habib.
Abdollahian assured the scope of an agreement between Lebanon and Iran on the need to urgently stop the attacks made by Tel Aviv against the Palestinian people. “It is necessary to end the blockade of Gaza, and we have called upon the necessity of holding a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,” he said.
He also described as ridiculous the position of the United States in asking for peace and at the same time supporting the far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu in the murder of civilians in Gaza, and stated that the region is open to any possibility while the situation in Gaza continues at this rate.
Abdollahian pointed out that Iran requested that the Egyptian authorities, the Secretary General of the United Nations and the Red Cross allow Iran to send food, medicine and water to the Gaza Strip.
Abdollahian warned Lebanon’s interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati of the spread of the current events in Gaza to other areas of the region if Netanyahu does not stop his destructive war against the Strip, and pointed out that the Palestinian resistance launched its operation as a response to Netanyahu’s policies and Israel’s crimes.
The Iranian Foreign Minister and the leader of Hizbullah, Hassan Nasrallah, earlier assessed the regional and international situation after the Palestinian resistance launched the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, and the current attack by the government of Tel Aviv. The parties discussed the responsibilities imposed on everyone and the positions to adopt in the face of the historic and dangerous events resulting from Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people.
