At a press briefing, Wang noted that Palestine is amid a critical situation; the priority is to “stop this war as soon as possible to prevent it from spreading and the situation from worsening.”
Israelis and Palestinians have the right to have a state. Israel has received a survival guarantee but who cares about the Palestinians? It is a nation without a homeland and the two-state solution is to build one for Palestine. That is the way to have peace and security for both, he stressed.
Wang urged that every effort is to protect civilians and open a humanitarian crossing point.
The foreign minister stated that all countries concerned should maintain calm and restraint, be objective, and work for de-escalation.
