According to a note from the Rossi Foundation, the organizer of this project, published on Arte.go, the exhibition, entitled “Ropa Vieja: Aspectos del arte contemporáneo cubano,” features works by Jose Angel Rosabal, Carlos Boix, Carlos Martiel, and Jose Antonio Choy, among other Cuban artists.
Cuba’s Consul General in Milan, Marcos Hernandez, attended the exhibition’s opening and thanked the organizers for this initiative to strengthen ties between the two peoples.
In the activity held on Tuesday, Luigi Rossi participated on behalf of the Foundation that bears his name, which was founded in 2018, and to whom Hernandez acknowledged his support to bring this Cuban art exhibition to the Italian audience.
Jorge Fernandez, director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Cuba, and Italian historian and teacher Massimo Bignardi, current curator of the Bugatti-Segantini Prize organized by the Vittorio Viviani Painting Academy, participated in that event. They highlighted the value of the works and the importance of their creators.
