The vice-president thanked His Royal Highness for “receiving us during our stay in his country” and noted that they reviewed “areas of common cooperation for the benefit of both peoples”.
We present greetings from President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people, said the Minister of Economy, Planning and Foreign Trade.
The Bolivarian Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, received last July the Ambassador of Qatar to the Bolivarian Republic, Rashid Mohsin Al Fetais, to continue strengthening bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation.
Last May, both countries commemorated with a photographic exhibition the half century of diplomatic relations, which acquired a new dimension with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez (1954-2013).
Bilateral relations were raised to a new level of friendship with the visit of Maduro to Doha in June 2022 and that of the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, to Caracas in March 2023.
The two countries currently maintain technical cooperation ties in agriculture, culture, education, tourism, air services and investment, among others.
