Directed by Spanish photographer Hector Garrido, the first proposal entitled “Toda Cuba a través de un rostro” (All of Cuba through a face) will take place at Havana’s San Gerónimo College.
Another attraction is the concert “Idilio en La Habana. Flamenco and Cuban Son” featuring Spanish singer Argentina López and nine Cuban musicians at the Theater Martí.
Argentina María López Tristancho, artistically known as Argentina, has participated in important events such as the De Cajón Festival and the La Mercé Festival in Barcelona, the Malaga Flamenco Biennial, the Flamenco Pa’Tos Festival in Madrid, and many more.
Her vocal qualities allow her to interpret genres such as Cuban Son, Salsa, Portuguese Fado, Argentine Tango, and music with Symphonic Orchestra and other styles.
The Spanish Cultural Week in Cuba proposes, until October 12, a wide range of activities, including music, visual arts, films, literature, dance, theater, and gastronomy, expressions of the existing links between the two nations.
