On X social media, MINREX reaffirmed Cuba´s willingness to continue strengthening friendly and historic diplomatic relations with Uganda.

On September 14, Cuba´s the Vice President Salvador Valdés and his Ugandan counterpart Jessica Alupo opened the new Ugandan embassy in Havana, in the context of the G77+China Summit.

During the event, both nations signed collaboration agreements on political, agricultural, health and research matters.

Cuba and Uganda cooperate in various sectors, including the training of health personnel at the Mbarara University of Science and Technology, at the initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
