According to the Minister, this measure is part of an action plan to promote the sector´s development, which will also include the simplification of the tax system and the strengthening of the national currency.
Massa explained that over 500 thousand companies will be able to access benefits for the purchase and subsequent sale of bonds and shares that are listed both in the national and foreign markets, as well as operate with fewer restrictions on operations with foreign currency.
This initiative joins others geared towards tax relief for the sector, professionals and self-employed workers.
The minister also announced that the Ministry of Economy will continue to implement transitional measures, adapted to the context marked by the debt of over 56 billion dollars president Mauricio Macri contracted with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the worst drought of the last 100 years.
Massa recently accused Macri during a television debate of leaving Argentina deeply indebted with the IMF, and committed to renegotiate the agreement with the organization to end a situation that he described as “criminal”. He also reiterated that, if elected president, he will convene a government of national unity, in which union representatives, businessmen and members of other sectors will participate.
