The explosion of a Cubana de Aviación plane, in mid-flight, on that day in 1976, responds to a policy of terror promoted by the United States which took 73 lives and one in gestation, the president wrote in X, formerly Twitter.
“No to the terrorism that has never stopped threatening our people. That even today persists in its plans of hatred and destruction against Cuba, he denounced.
He remarked in another message on X that “the greatest proof of the empire’s cynicism is to put the honorable name of Cuba on its list of sponsors of terrorism when the terrorists responsible for the crime in Barbados lived and died in the United States without paying for their crimes”.
The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, and the Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, also reacted on that social network, evoking the abominable crime of Barbados, a crime that Cuba will never forget because the pain endures.
