On X social media, the Cuban foreign minister expressed his country´s solidarity with the Syrian people and government, as well as he offered his heartfelt and deepest condolences to the victims´ families and friends.

On Thursday, extremist groups attacked with explosives-laden air vehicles the graduation ceremony of cadets of the military academy.

According to press reports, the attack killed at least 89 people and injured over 200.

The Syrian government declared three days of public and official mourning for the civilian and military victims of the attack and announced that flags will be lowered to half-mast in the country and at all embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.
