The statement was made on Friday by members of the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC, who noted that during all these years, in multiple denunciations before the United Nations and other international forums, Cuban authorities have demonstrated that the material perpetrators of the sabotage, Freddy Lugo and Hernán Ricardo, from Venezuela, were the perpetrators of the attack. They added that the brains behind the sabotage were Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles, who died peacefully in Miami without paying for their crime, as well as the CIA, as financier and protector of their confessed assassins.
Referring to the violent action on her X account, formerly Twitter, the head of the Cuban Mission in the United States, Lianys Torres, wrote that this day is a tribute to the victims of the horrendous crime.
“This is once again a reminder that Cuba has been a victim of terrorism for decades,” the diplomat stressed.
