According to a statement issued by BelTA on Friday, the two diplomats focused their debates on the interaction and support in organizations, including the BRICS group and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
They also discussed prospects for developing Belarus-Iran relations and plans for bilateral events.
The BRICS is an intergovernmental economic and trade bloc made up of 11 fast-developing countries. It aims to expand dialogue and multilateral cooperation.
The SCO, founded in 2001, brings together China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Four countries (Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia) have observer statuses, and six countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Turkey) have a dialogue partner status.
