During the first day of the event, García claimed that, despite complex current scenario, Cuba guarantees respect for the rights of all people, which are supported by the Constitution passed in 2019.
In addition, he praised the preventive approach promoted by the Cuban health system, with networks of professionals and institutions that interact with political, economic, social and cultural actors in each territory to defend equality among citizens and eradicate the stigmatization of patients.
On the other hand, Reinol García pointed out that during the G77+China Summit, held recently in Havana, commitments were adopted in science and technology to better face current challenges and progress in the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
