Winners of the 2023 Eyeife Festival Awards announced

Havana, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) The Eyeife International Electronic Music Festival, through a prestigious jury, today announced the winners of the Eyeife 2023 Creation Contest, an open call to all young musicians, DJs and producers residing in Cuba.

Three awards, mentions and a special mention were awarded to the youngest artist in a call in which 89 works and 62 contestants under 35 years of age from a dozen provinces, were analyzed.

According to the event’s press release, the First Prize was won by Insike, with the work Caderona; he

Second Prize went to Martt&Neo x Hollowfate with the work Aguacero; and the

Third Prize went to Abens with the work Orunmila.

Also the jury, made up of renowned artists such as Edesio Alejandro, Enmanuel Blanco, David Casas and Mauricio Abad, decided to give mentions to Fleyt for the work I’m into you; John Skull for the work Broken, and the Special Mention for Youngest Artist went to Falcón (11 years old) for the work El seven.

The purpose of the Eyeife Contest is to stimulate the creation of original music works of electronic fusion that incorporate elements of the broad Cuban cultural heritage.

This contest is under the umbrella of the Eyeife International Electronic Music Festival, considered the most important dedicated to the genre held on the island.

It consolidates itself every year as one of the events dedicated to the development of music and culture in general in Cuba, aims to offer a space to new national and international talent, and works to become a world reference within the fusion electronic circuits.
