Bolivia reports lowest unemployment rate in history

La Paz, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia has reported the lowest unemployment rate in history, Labor Minister Verónica Navia said at the 46th Meeting of the Technical Committee (RCT) of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

“This is due to the fact that the four pillars of the economy (private, state, community and social cooperative) are generators of employment, whether employed or self-employed”, the Minister said at the forum, held in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic.

The Bolivian Labor Ministry pointed out that it is an opportunity to address the challenges arising from technological, demographic and environmental changes in the world of work and training.

In this context, Navia explained that the policy of industrialization with import substitution implemented by the Government of President Luis Arce is the best employment strategy.
