The sources indicated that two convoys of tanker trucks loaded with crude oil crossed into northern Iraq during the last 24 hours through unauthorized border crossings.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry recently denounced the intensification of looting and smuggling of the country’s natural resources by the US occupiers, particularly oil, and considered these actions as banditry, in violation of international law, impoverishing the Syrian people and prolonging their sufferings.
The Ministry also demanded the US administration to stop playing the role of pirates and bandits looting and pay compensation to the Syrian people.
According to official data, the acts of looting of Syrian wealth by Washington and its local mercenary militias caused losses estimated at almost 111 billion US dollars.
In 2011, Syria produced more than 380 thousand barrels of crude oil per day before the war, but this figure has been reduced to only 80 thousand, of which, 66 thousand are looted by US troops and the SDF.
