López Obrador reiterates interest in solving the Ayotzinapa case

Mexico City, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reiterated that his government is very interested in getting to the bottom of what happened in Iguala with the 43 missing students from Ayotzinapa.

When asked about it in his morning press conference, the president said that there are three priorities in this case: first, to find out exactly what happened that night in Iguala when the young people.

Second, why did they try to hide the facts, what moved them to invent a “historical truth” to close the investigations and create false positives, all of which does not correspond to reality because they invented it after the facts.

Third, to find the boys, why did they disappear them, what did they do with them, where are their remains, and we are advancing in all this investigation, but too slowly.

People linked to them are being arrested, and progress is being made but very slowly, he repeated that he is committed to comply before the end of his term of office, to find out who the guilty parties are and to punish them.

He said that some of those who participated were arrested, but they were released because a pact of silence was agreed upon and everything became entangled. It was never revealed what happened or who was responsible.
