The 10th edition of Expoaladi is being held at Havana’s Pabexpo Fairgrounds and will be attended by 364 Latin American companies.
The agri-food and industrial production chains are the sectors with largest attendance at the ProColombia stand, the government agency in charge of promoting exports, tourism and foreign investment to provide Colombian companies with support and advice in their international trade activities.
It is important for us to be in Cuba and reaffirm our interest in strengthening relations with this country, ProColombia’s Exports Vice-President Juliana Villegas told Prensa Latina.
ProColombia has a commercial representative in Havana to seek opportunities and bring local demand closer to the Colombian exportable supply, and it is also working to reach the 13 ALADI member states, Villegas added.
In 2022, Colombia managed to export nearly USD$6 billion to ALADI member states, and it has already exceeded USD$3 billion in the H1 2023.
During the opening ceremony, Cuba´s First Deputy Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Minister Ana Teresita Gonzalez said that this event will contribute to boosting and diversifying intra-regional trade and to promoting productive integration in the area.
